Landscape/Irrigation Install Laborer
Blue Water Landscape is seeking a hardworking and reliable landscape/irrigation install laborer to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the installation of irrigation systems and landscapes, working with various earth materials and using hand tools to prepare and complete installs. The laborer will work under the direction of the Landscape/Irrigation Install Foreman and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with earth materials (topsoil, greens mix, gravel, sand) using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, picks, and saws.
- Haul materials such as grass seed, sod, pipe, joints, heads, and wire to the designated work area.
- Install soil, greens mix, gravel, sand, grass seed, sod, and irrigation materials in prepped work areas.
- Dig holes and trenches, and backfill to install drainage, irrigation mainlines, lateral lines, and irrigation heads.
- Lift, carry, and hold materials, tools, and supplies as needed.
- Clean up tools, equipment, materials, and work areas at the end of each day.
- Work safely, following all company safety standards and supervisor instructions.
- Show commitment to team success, project quality, and meeting production and safety goals.
- Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by supervisors.
Skills/Requirements:
- Physically capable of performing demanding tasks, including lifting, digging, and using tools.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to Blue Water Landscape’s office in Hobe Sound.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must speak English (Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required)
- Knowledge of irrigation pipes/fittings
- Willing to learn
