Irrigation & Project Specialist
Performs intermediate semiskilled work on a variety of irrigation, maintenance, and repair projects; operates equipment in connection with tasks; does related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision of the Parks Superintendent. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the maintenance, repair and/or construction of irrigation systems, to include diagnosis and trouble shooting of low volt electrical systems and time clocks. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Must possess a valid driver license issued from any State (a valid Florida Driver’s License is required within thirty (30) days from date of hire) and must maintain an acceptable driving record. A valid CDL Class B is preferred at the time of hire, but selected employee must be able to obtain CDL within 12 months of hire.
Must become Certified Irrigation Technician within 12 months of hire.
